The Nanjing Confucius Temple (Nanjing Fuzi Miao) was built in the year 1304 during the Song Dynasty. The temple is located on the banks of the Qinhuai River in Nanjing, China. Confucius was a world-famous Chinese educator and philosopher of ancient times. A visit to the Dacheng Hall is a must. It contains the largest statue of Confucius and a splendid collection of 38 bright panels designed with jade, gold, and silver that illustrate the life of Confucius.
