Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge
Shigatse, China
The Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge spans the Sun Kosi River which is at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level. It is 45 meters long and 8 meters wide and connects Yangpachen in Tibet (China) and Katmandu in Nepal. The bridge is surrounded by a beautiful vista of gushing waters below, and dense forests around it. On the Chinese end of the Bridge is an octagonal pavilion offering accommodation and rest for travelers. There is a statue of a boy riding an elephant. The elephant seems to spray water at the boy. This white statue looks very lovely against the skyline and the bridge.
