Hu Xi Mosque

Shanghai Huxi Mosque construction was completed in April 2000. It is the famous mosques in the city and the first to be rebuilt after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is located in Putuo district. The mosque is a two-storied prayer hall consisting of two floors, including which are the imam's room, and reception rooms. It is also made of double-heart-shaped arches and fan-shaped vaults. Both the front courtyard and the back courtyard contain fountains and are covered by six domes. Three of the six domes are decorated with crescent signs. Its minaret is more than 25 meters high.
